Anthony Hopkins reprises Hannibal Lecter while wearing Kim Kardashian’s Skims on his head
Anthony Hopkins reprised his iconic “Silence of the Lambs” character, Hannibal Lecter, for an audience of one: Kim Kardashian.
On Thursday, Hopkins posted a video on Instagram sporting the new face wrap from Skims, Kardashian’s shapewear and clothing company.
Since the release of Skims’ Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap — made for “targeted compression for shaping & sculpting” on the face, according to Skims’ website — this week, social media users have been comparing the beige face wrap to the mask Hopkins wore as Hannibal Lecter in the classic horror movie.
Hopkins had clearly seen the chatter and posted a video to Instagram while wearing the face wrap.
“Hello Kim, I’m already feeling 10 years younger,” Hopkins said in Lecter’s eerie voice before reviving the character’s iconic slurping sound. “Goodbye.”
He paired the video with the caption, “Thank you, Kim. Don’t be afraid to come over for dinner,” in another reference to the cannibalistic character.
Kardashian seemed to embrace Hopkins’ poking fun at her, posting his video on her Instagram story on Thursday, writing “I’M SCREAMING!!!!!”
Skims face shapewear wasn’t the first time Kardashian’s products caught the internet’s attention.
In 2023, the company released bras with built-in nipples that drew both criticism and praise.
