The White House on Monday asked multiple courts to keep the strict tariffs against many United States trading partners in place amid legal battles that may end up at the Supreme Court. It comes as President Donald Trump is also urging Republicans to pass his major spending bill after some Republican Senators, including Sen. Rand Paul, threaten to hold it up because it adds to the debt. NBC’s Christine Romans reports for TODAY.
