President Donald Trump spent more than two hours on the phone Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an attempt to stop what he calls a “bloodbath” amid fighting with Ukraine. He’s also suggesting that without progress the United States may pull back and even floated the possibility of peace talks involving Pope Leo. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.
